I’m Oana Madrid, the proud owner and operator of Pika Pika Scrubbing. As a military spouse, I understand the importance of dependable service, flexibility, and creating a clean, welcoming home wherever life may take you.

I spent 21 years living in Japan, where I worked as a teacher, provided cleaning services, and volunteered within my local community. These experiences helped shape my strong work ethic, attention to detail, and appreciation for maintaining clean, organized, and comfortable spaces.

I also worked as a Vacation Rental Property Quality Assurance Inspector on Emerald Isle, where I inspected rental homes to ensure they met high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest readiness. This experience gave me valuable knowledge of the vacation rental industry and a clear understanding of what property owners, managers, and guests expect.

Today, I bring that same care, professionalism, and attention to detail to every home, business, and vacation rental I serve. My goal is to provide reliable cleaning services and consistently deliver results my clients can feel confident about.

What Does “Pika Pika” Mean?

Pika Pika (ピカピカ) is a Japanese expression meaning “sparkling,” “shiny,” or “gleaming clean.” After spending more than two decades in Japan, the name felt like the perfect reflection of my business and the standards I bring to every cleaning service.
